NEW BEDFORD… Efrain DeLeon Melendez, 74, of Fall River passed away on June 12, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital.
Born in Naguabo, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Ignacio and Anthema (Melendez) DeLeon.
He had been working as a laborer in construction and had only been living in Fall River for the past year. He enjoyed boxing and had boxed himself years ago.
Survivors include his son: Efrain DeLeon Melendez, Jr. of Puerto Rico; 2 daughters: Vanessa DeLeon and Madeline DeLeon, both of Fall River; 12 brothers and sisters; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 siblings.
Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday June 22, 2018 from 9 - 11 AM at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA 02723. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River.
