Genevieve M. (Calo) Knoetgen, 87, a resident of Millis since 1988, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the Medway Country Manor. She was the beloved wife of James L. Knoetgen who died in 2001.
Born in North Hampstead, New York on January 30, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Margaret (DiLeo) Calo.
Mrs. Knoetgen worked at Roche Brothers in Millis for 15 years until her retirement. She had also worked at the Kroger Grocery Store and Foxfire Country Club, both in North Carolina.
Mrs. Knoetgen enjoyed bowling and loved to walk.
She is survived by her children, Michelle Taylor of Clemmons, NC, James Knoetgen, Jr. of Millis, Margaret Burdette and her husband Rick of Raeford, NC, Aileen Reve and her husband Donnie of Fuquay Varina NC, Timothy Knoetgen and his wife Lee of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Dennis Knoetgen of Clemmons, NC and Kenneth Knoetgen of Chelmsford.
She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter Christine Santiago, her brother Joseph Calo and her sisters, Angelina Yavoski and Ursula Sierosinski
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Monday, June 25 from 5 - 7 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
Burial will take place on Tuesday, June 26 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
