Passed away peacefully on June 4, 2018
Sandra was a longtime employee of Northern States Power/Xcel Energy, retiring in 2001 from the Black Dog Plant after 30+ years of service. She was a lead equipment operator and a proud member of Local Union 160 (Int'l Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). She was one of the few women in MN who held a Chief (A) Boiler License. Sandra fostered dogs for many years through Second Chance Animal Rescue and enjoyed crafting with her sisters and granddaughter. Survived by children Greg (Kristen) Tschida, Lynette Carr; grandchildren Lindsay (Jeff), Jayme (Amanda), Jessica, Katelynn (Brian), Jonathan; great grandchildren Roman, Jaxson, Silas, Weston, Gage (due in Sept.); family, friends & neighbors. Memorial Gathering Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 1-2 PM at SANDBERG FUNERAL HOME, 2593 E. 7th Ave., North St. Paul, followed by a reception at the North St. Paul American Legion Post 39, 2678 E. 7th Ave., North St. Paul.
