FRAMINGHAM: George “Chip” J. Wansiewicz, 62, of formerly from Auburndale (Newton) passed away in his beloved home in Sebago, Maine on Friday, June 15th.
Chip is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Darlene (Chandler) Wansiewicz; his three sons: Gregory Joseph Wansiewicz, Christopher William Wansiewicz, of Framingham Peter John Wansiewicz, his fiance Alyssa Dandreo of Swampscott; his brother-in-laws: Gary Chandler of Ashland and Jeffrey Chandler of Lunenburg; his brother, Gary Wansiewicz of Ashby and many nieces and nephews.
Chip was born on November 12, 1955 in Chelsea to the (late) George and Barbara (Greene) Wansiewicz. He graduated from Newton North High School in 1973.
In January, Chip retired from the City of Newton after 32 years of service on their fire department.
Chip loved the best of all things, being outdoors, telling nostalgic stories and time spent with family.
A funeral service will be held Friday, June 22nd at 10:30 in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, Natick, MA 01760. Burial will follow in Dell Park, Pond Street, Natick, MA.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 21st from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the John Everett & Sons Funeral, 4 Park Street, Natick, MA 01760.
