HIRAM- Denis Patrick Welch Jr., age 62, passed away at his home on June 15, 2018.
He was born in Wolfeboro, NH on Sept. 16, 1955, a son of Denis Sr. and Janet (Eldridge) Welch, who reside in Porter.
After graduating from Sacopee Valley High School, Denis went on to work in the woods. He also worked side by side with his father and brother in their sawmill in Hiram.
Denis will always be remembered as an excellent mechanic and an individual who enjoyed spending time with his many friends and his cherished family. He was known for his jolly spirit and socializing with others.
He enjoyed building high performance motors, snowmobiling, hunting & fishing.
He is survived by his parents; his daughter- Missy Sanborn and her husband Ben of West Baldwin; brother- Richard Welch of Hiram; sister- Deborah Pike of Porter; granddaughter- Bailey; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Denis' life will be held on Friday, June 22, at 5 PM at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., Cornish. Burial will be held at a later date at the Kezar Falls Burial Ground. Online condolence messages can be submitted at www.mainefuneral.com
