South Dartmouth – Mary Sophie Mello, age 74, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 at home. She was the wife of Jose F. Mello and daughter of the late Jose and Maria DeLourdes (Tavares) Botelho.
Mary was born in St. Michael, Azores and had worked as a health home aide.
She is survived by her husband, Jose; her children, Linda Marie Shurtleff of New Hampshire, Lisa Ann Casella and her husband, John Casella of Mclean, VA., Christopher Mello and his wife, Helena of So. Dartmouth; 5 grandchildren, Kasey Casella, Paige Shurtleff, Lauren Casella, Alyssa Mello and Aiden Mello; brothers, Joseph Botelho of Yardley, PA and Natalie Sheffield of Fairhaven, as well as, many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Mary Rose Butler.
A service with her cremains will be held on Wednesday June 27th in the funeral home from 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend,
