TEWKSBURY – Paul Dennis Keohane, age 62, a devoted husband, father and businessman, well known in the Tewksbury community for the past thirty–three years, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, June 15, from an apparent heart attack. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen M. “Kathy” (Moran) Keohane, with whom he had celebrated a thirty-eighth wedding anniversary this past May 3rd.He was born in Arlington in July 1955, one of five children of the late John and Mary (Sylvester) Keohane, and raised in Arlington, attended Arlington schools, and graduated Arlington High School with the Class of 1974. He and Kathy moved to Tewksbury in 1980 to raise their family.
Paul was an automobile damage appraiser, who founded, owned, and operated the Arlington Auto Appraisal company.
Active in the Knights of Columbus, he was Past Grand Knight of the Fr. Coppen’s Council, K of C, 4336 in Tewksbury, and a 4thDegree member of the Bishop Delaney Council K of C of Greater Lowell. Paul piloted the K of C Float in this years Memorial Day parade in Tewksbury. He was also a member of the Tewksbury-Wilmington B.P.O. Elks Lodge 2070, and an active member of the St. William’s Parish community.
Paul loved boating and fishing for “Stripers” off the coast of Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and was a faithful fan of the Red Sox, Bruins, and Patriots.
Besides his wife, he leaves three children, Dennis M. Keohane and Shannon M. Keohane both of Tewksbury, and Patrick E. Keohane of Haverhill; a brother, Stephen Keohane of Methuen; a sister, Margaret Keohane of IN; many nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by his siblings, Virginia Foss and Elaine Wilson.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 22, at 11:30 a.m. in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte. 38) Tewksbury. At his request, visiting hours are omitted and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Fr. Coppen’s Council, K of C, "Scholarship Fund" 2068 Main St. Tewksbury, MA 01876 will be appreciated.
