Fred Pacheco, 65, of Dartmouth died Monday, June 11, 2018 peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late David and Alice (Pacheco) Pacheco, he lived in New Bedford and Dartmouth for most of his life.
Fred was a good friend and an entrepreneurial thinker who pursued many interests over the years. A graduate of Bristol Community College, his career included work at New Bedford High School, where he provided caring support for students with special needs.
He is survived by three siblings, Paul Pacheco of Florida, Elizabeth Belanger of Acushnet, and Patricia Medeiros of New Bedford; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his sister, Susan Morris.
Fred was remembered among the deceased at the 10:30 AM Mass on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at St. Bernard's Church in Assonet. His graveside service was held privately on Friday, August 10, 2018 in Rural Cemetery, New Bedford. Visiting hours are omitted. For online guestbook, visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
