Helen T. (Daukszewicz), age 91, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love and support of family, on June 10, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Augustine Szmyt. Mother of Augustine “Gus” Szmyt, Jr. and his wife Doreen of Belmont, NH, Mark T. Szmyt and his wife Kelley of Pelham, NH, Michael F. Szmyt of Tewksbury, Eric T. Szmyt and his wife Lala of Vernon Hills, IL, and the late Andrea M. Szmyt. Former mother-in-law of Kelley Lloyd of Derry, NH. Grandmother (“Babci”) of Gail, Shelly, Andrew, Meghan, Casey, Alan, Mitchell, Julia, Andre, Elisabeth and the late Anton. Great Grandmother of Rachel and Ashley. Helen was predeceased by 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Calling hours are Wednesday, June 13, from 9-11 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, immediately followed by a prayer service to be held at the funeral home. Interment at Holy Trinity Polish Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
