Obituary

NORTH BROOKFIELD: Dale Wentworth, 55, of Warren Rd., died unexpectedly, Wednesday,
June 6th. while vacationing in Ocracoke,NC. He leaves his wife Janice "Jan" (Wiley) Wentworth of 28 years, his sons Devon R. Wentworth
and his wife Kristen of Barre, and Trevor E. Wentworth and his wife Katelyn of E.Brookfield,his
daughter Lindsay M. Doray of E.Brookfield, his father David Wentworth and his wife Beverly
of Brookfield, two brothers, Wayne Wentworth and his wife Kathleen of No.Smithfield, RI, and
Scot Wentworth and his wife Gail of Scenevus, NY, five grandchildren Isabelle, William and
Rose Wentworth and Greyson and Brylee Wentworth and a large family of nieces, nephews,step
bothers and sisters. He was raised in Spencer, and graduated from David Prouty High School in
Spencer.
Ever the entrepreneur, Dale forged business enterprises, owning and operating Wentworth
Business World and, for the last 23 years, together with wife Janice, built and grew The Warren
Farm and Sugarhouse into a well known and successful business.
Dale Wentworth had a heart that expanded outside his body. He lived life to the fullest and his
charisma was hard to ignore. He was a friend, husband, father, champion racer, farmer, ‘maple
guy’, lover of animals, travel, the ocean and all around amazing human. His life was guided by
one, simple, driving force: “I will sail my vessel ‘til the river runs dry”.
Memorial calling hours for Dale will be held on Friday, June 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the J.HENRI
MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will be private for the
family in Pine Grove Cemetery, Spencer. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the
Brain Trauma Foundation, www.braintrauma.org.
