SWANSEA – Linwood Cowen Sr., age 67, a longtime resident of Swansea, passed away Sat. June 9, 2018 at home with loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Jean B. (Parquette) Cowen and the son of the late Alden B. & Hermina V. (Anselmo) Cowen. Prior to retiring, Linwood worked as a Truck Driver for various trucking companies. Linwood was a Race Car Driver for 25 yrs., and a race car owner for 40 yrs. at Seekonk Speedway. Linwood & his son poured their heart and soul into their racing cars and teams.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son: Linwood Cowen Jr.; his grandson: Brandon M. Cowen; and his sister: Eileen Boucher; many nieces, nephews, & friends. He was predeceased by several brothers & sisters.
His visitation will take place in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. with a memorial service at 6:00 P.M. Cremation to follow.
