Formerly from Oakdale and North St. Paul. Passed away on June 3rd, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Kathryn Arlene; children John (Michelle), James (Sue), Linda (Paul) Gresback, Paul (Jodi) & Bob (Brenda); grandchildren Jennifer (Todd) Miller, Kelly (Justin) Erickson, Eric (Laura), Ryan (Jessica), Lindsey (Nels Nelson), Benjamin (Kellie), Lee, Jacob, Jessica, Hannah, Haley & Maggie; & twelve great-grandchildren. Bob was born July 26, 1924 in Ottumwa, IA and was proceeded in death by his parents Robert & Anna, his stepfather Jacob Bohrman, & his brother Richard Griffin. He spent over three years in the US Army Air Force during World War II and traveled substantially in his role as a non-commissioned officer. After his discharge in 1946, he started college on the GI Bill at St. Thomas College in St. Paul, MN. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and then was hired by the Great Northern Railway. Bob worked for 30 years at the Great Northern Railway which became the Burlington Northern Railway (BN) in 1970. He retired from the BN in 1981 as the Assistant Vice President of Data Processing. Bob and Kathryn were charter members of Indian Hills Country Club. Memorial Service Monday (6/11) 11:00 AM at Church of St. Peter’s, 2600 Margaret St N, North St Paul. Visitation one hour prior to Service at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
