FALL RIVER…Thomas Fleming, 67, of Fall River passed away June 5, 2018 at Our Lady’s Haven in Fairhaven.
He was the loving husband of Irene F. (Ouellette) Fleming of Fall River.
Born in Acushnet, he was the son of the late Dessie Fleming.
Mr. Fleming was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He had earned the National Defense Service MeDal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Sharpshooter Badge, and the Marksman Badge. He was a member of the Veteran’s Center of Fall River. Quoted as using the phrase “It’s all in fun!” on a regular basis, Thomas lived his life to the fullest. He had worked for 20 years at Globe Manufacturing, prior to their closing and more recently as a Security Guard for Professional Secuity.
Along with his wife, survivors include his children: Heidi Figueiredo of Fall River, Sheila Bowman of Fall River, Daniel Bowman of Swansea and Wanda Bowman of VA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 10:30 AM at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA 02723. Inurnment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River. Calling hours will be held Saturday, June 16th from 8:30 to 10:30 AM, prior to the service.
