Maria Barbosa (94) of Brockton died June 6th in the Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Antonino Barbosa Mado.
She was born in Sao Lourenco, Fogo, Cabo Verde daughter of the late Antonio and Felipa (Sequereira) Barbosa. Maria was a communicate of St. Edith Stein Church. She loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends. Also she was known to be a very humble and happy person.
Maria is survived by 2 sons, Adalberto Amado of Portugal and Alberto Amado of Brockton, 4 daughters, Antonieta Santos, Maria de Fatima Moeda, Anita Amado and Gracinda Rochdi all of Brockton, 22 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Wednesday June 13th at 9 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church at 10:30 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation in the Funeral Home Tuesday June 12th from 5-9 pm.
