Obituary

HOLDEN__Robert S. Adamowicz, 73, of Holden, passed away on Sunday June 3, 2018 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, Worcester.

He leaves his wife of 16 years, Rosamaria F. Rezende, his son, Richard Adamowicz of Colorado; his daughter, Amanda Adamowicz of Worcester; his brother, Gary Adamowicz of Worcester; a niece Karen and a nephew Mark. He also leaves his beautiful cat Cristal. Robert was born and raised in Worcester a son of the late Stanley and Alice (Kulesza) Adamowicz and has lived in Holden for many years.

Mr. Adamowicz worked as an engineer many years and worked for Koch Membrane Systems, Wilmington. He retired several years ago. Robert graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War earning the rank of Sergeant.

Robert enjoyed photography and traveling. A world traveler, Robert traveled to many countries and all 50 States includig visiting Alaska five times with his wife. Bob Adamowicz was a brilliant man. He was a designer, engineer, innovator and keen thinker. He pioneered many of the bolt action trying procedures that led to making superbly accurate rifles. Bob used rifles that he had made using those methods to set World Shooting records and to win National Championships. He technically penetrated everything he did and tried to make things better. This not only applied to his competitive rifle shooting but to his photography as well. He was always designing and building testing machines so he could fine tune his cameras and lenses to take the sharpest pictures possible.

A memorial service for Robert will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday June 9, 2018 in HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, Worcester.
