Elizabeth A. Grassia, 76

Dateline: Norton, MA

Elizabeth A. (Scena) Grassia, age 76, of Norton, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank A. Grassia.

Born in Boston, MA on November 10, 1941, she was a loving daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (Pierce) Scena.

Liz grew up in Roslindale and was a graduate of Roslindale High School. She had made her home in Norton for the past 10 years and had previously resided in Norwood, Pocasset and Naples, Florida.

Elizabeth was a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family, served as a dedicated caregiver to her brother Anthony for over twenty years and had also worked as a bookkeeper.

Mrs. Grassia possessed marvelous artistic skills, which included painting and drawing. She was a very fashionable woman, who loved glitz and glitter. She loved spending time in the presence of her adoring family and had a lifelong love for shopping.

She is survived by her devoted daughters Kimberly E. Palmer of Norton, and Ingrid B. Williams and her husband John of Norton and was pre-deceased by her infant sons Scott palmer and Matthew Palmer. She was the dear sister of Joseph Scena and his wife Claire of Sandwich, Robert Scena and his wife Carmela of North Falmouth, Victor Scena and his wife Karen of Walpole and Anthony Scena of Wrentham. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Chandra Palmer, Colby Williams and Tyler Williams all of Norton, her great granddaughter Stella Ann Williams of Norton, as well as many-many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Sunday, June 10th from 2:00-5:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.

A committal service will be held on Monday, June 11th at 12:00 P.M. in the Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery, 670 Baker St., West Roxbury.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Liz’s memory may be made to the Mansfield Adult Day Health Center, 300 Branch St., Mansfield, MA 02048.
