Obituary

Florence “Flo” (Chess) Breslouf of Natick and Newton passed away on June 3, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Breslouf and the loving companion of the late John Corcoran.

Florence was born in Chelsea, MA and raised in Beacon Hill by her loving parents Morris and Alice (Birnbaum) Chess where she attended the Girl’s Latin High School before moving to Natick with her husband and two children. Florence was the devoted mother of Robert Breslof and Lynne Breslouf. She was the dear sister of the late Mary Greene and the late Leah Trugman. Florence was extremely loved and supported by many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and the family of her loving companion including his grandchildren who called her “Nana Flo”.

She worked as Chief Clerk in the Environmental Test Branch at the Natick Labs for the Department of the US Army. While there, she received commendation letters for coordinating test subjects for various scientific studies. She also enjoyed being a Volunteer Educator with Tufts University medical students during her time at the Golda Mayer House in Newton.

Florence was known for her great sense of humor , liveliness, as well as her charitableness. She loved Boston sports and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. She was also an avid Bingo player. Florence was always willing to share her time and life experiences with others and will be missed by a great number of friends and family.

Graveside services at Stepiner Cemetery, 776 Baker St., West Roxbury on Tuesday, June 5 at 1 PM. Memorial observance following interment at the home of Marcia and Ivan Drootin.
