James M. Grace, 65, of New Bedford passed away Sunday June 3, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in Acushnet, the son of the late Anna (Lopes) Grace and Manuel Ramos, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. Grace was formerly employed as a school bus driver.
During the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include two daughters, Amy Baptiste of Virginia and Jaime Grace of New Bedford; his siblings, Cynthia A. Santos, Betty A. Fernandes, Sharon L. Magnett, Brenda J. Duarte and her husband Ronald, Donna L. Grace, Marsha Ramos, and Ricky Ramos, all of New Bedford; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held on Friday June 8, 2018 at 10 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday June 7, 2018 from 4-8 PM. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
