Josephine Fontaine, 96, of Gorham, passed away on Friday June 1, 2018 at the St. Vincent de Paul Rehab and Nursing Center. She was born in Berlin on September 9, 1921 the daughter of Dominic and Vincenza ( Bifolchi) Baldassare and was a lifelong resident of the area. She had been employed by J. J. Newbury’s and Converse Rubber Company and was a member of Holy Family Church.
Family includes her daughter Jacqueline Landry of Port Orange, FL; grandson Victor Muzzey of Bristol, NH; great granddaughters Savannah and Annabelle Muzzey of Bristol, NH; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Harvey H. Fontaine and siblings Augustine, James and Mario, Lisa, Florette and Olivette.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday June 7, 2018 at 1 PM at Holy Family Church. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. The Bryant Funeral Home in Gorham is in charge of the arrangements. Donations in her memory may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Activities Fund, 29 Providence Ave., Berlin, NH, 03570.
