Mrs. Shirley I. (Guilmette) Plourde, 89, of Methuen passed away on Tuesday, May 29th at the Halcyon House in Methuen. Daughter of the late Joseph A. and Irene Guilmette she was born in Lawrence and has been an area resident all her life. Shirley retired from AT&T were she worked as a wireman. Mrs. Plourde was a member of the former Sacred Heart Church, and belong to the Pioneers of America. she loved to spend time with her family. The widow of Edward A. Plourde she was also predeceased by one sister Doris Myers, one grandchild and 1 great-grandchild. Mrs. Plourde is survived by two daughters; Janet Berberian of Lawrence, and Carol Ann and her husband Richard Donovan of Andover. Two sons; Ronald E. Plourde Lawrence Police Capt. Ret., and his wife Anne of Lawrence and Jeffrey Plourde and his wife Tammy of Seabrook, NH. Three brothers; Chanel “Pal” Guilmette and his wife Irene of Salisbury, Raymond Guilmette of Atkinson, NH and Richard Guilmette of Seabrook,NH. There are six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Donations may be made in Mrs. Plourde’s memory to the Halcyon House 175 Berkley St., Methuen, MA 01844
