Raymond M. Boulanger, 82, of New Bedford died May 29, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family after a long illness.
He was the husband of Alberta A. (Perry) Boulanger, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Romeo H. and Alice (Correia) Boulanger, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
In retirement he enjoyed working at Hetland Rink, as well as fishing, coin collecting, flying airplanes and collecting boxing memorabilia.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Raymond M. Boulanger, Jr. and his wife Joan of Tonawanda, NY; 3 daughters, Cheryl Boulanger and Sharon Boulanger, both of New Bedford and Gayle Elson and her husband Edward of Wyoming, RI; a brother, Donald Boulanger and his wife Lorna of Rochester; 5 grandchildren, Sarah Boulanger, Hannah Boulanger, Anabelle Elson, Morgan Elson and Maxwell Elson. A special thank you to Beacon Hospice of Fall River for the care and compassion of Raymond during his final days.
His Graveside Service will be held on Thursday the 7th day of June at 11 AM at Riverside Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
