Obituary

Camille Crook McCaslan, 97, wife of the late Mr. Rudolph McCaslan for 67 years, entered into rest on Saturday, May 26, 2018.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Allen Danner officiating.

A native of Lincoln County, Mrs. McCaslan grew up on a cotton farm then left for the city of Augusta to work in the textile mills. She worked at John P. King Manufacturing Company for over 40 years. Mrs. McCaslan attended Central Christian Church and was a part of the Helping Hands and the Sewing Club.

Mrs. McCaslan was also a homemaker, raising one daughter, Miriam M. Weathersbee. Additional survivors include two grandchildren, Daniel M. Weathersbee (Susan) of Lexington Park, MD, and Joy E. Clark of Augusta; and three great-grandchildren, Nathan Weathersbee, Rebecca Weathersbee, and Bethany Weathersbee. She also served as guardian of her youngest brother’s children, Cynthia McKay, Darrell Crook, Michael Crook, Jane Dawkins, and Timothy Crook.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, May 30, 2018 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
