Obituary

DUDLEY - Paul R. Perry, 91, formerly of Webster, died Monday, May 14th, 2018 in UMASS/Memorial Health Care Center, Worcester with his family by his side.

He leaves a daughter, Beverly Pacher of Webster; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his wife Stella (Krevowski) Perry, by 5 brothers and by 6 sisters.

He was born on June 3rd, 1926 on Myrtle Ave., the youngest of the 12 children of Alfred and Emma (Pratt) Perry. He attended the Little Red School House in Webster and received an honorary high school diploma from Bartlett High School. He lived with his granddaughter Jennifer, grandson Alex and her family in Dudley since 2010. Paul enjoyed spending time with his great grandchildren Corey, Olivia, Lexi, Charlie, Alex and Katie. Together they enjoyed hearing stories, reading, and vacationing in Maine and on the Cape. Paul also enjoyed visits and calls from his nephew Paul and niece Louise.

He served in the Navy as a Seabee and was a veteran of WWII, serving as a machinist’s mate 3rd class. He was a former commander and a proud member of the American Legion Post #184 in Webster, and for many years was part of their funeral honor squad.

Mr. Perry worked for many years at Cranston Print Works as a back tender. Previously he was a truck driver for Webco Chemical Company in Dudley, and for Fleet Chemical Company in Webster.

Paul was a member of Saint Joseph’s Church in Charlton and formerly a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Webster. Paul held a life membership in the Auburn-Webster Lodge of Elks #2118.

The funeral will be held Thursday, May 24, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. at Saint Joseph Church, 10 H Putnam Road, Charlton. Burial will be in Waldron Cemetery, Dudley. The Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will perform the military honors. Visitation will be held from 8:45-10:15.AM Thursday, May 24, in the funeral home.
