Truman S. “Scotty” Britton, Jr., 93, of Manchester, NH, and formerly of Chester, NH, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Maple Leaf Health Care in Manchester, NH.
Born in W. Newbury, MA. on June 29, 1924, he was a son of the late Truman and Irene (Scott) Britton Sr. Truman was an employee of the Town of Chester Cemetery Department and he was a WWII Navy Veteran.
He is survived by four sons, Larry Britton of New Jersey, Gary Britton of Chester, David Britton and Randy Britton, both of Raymond. Also surviving is thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and two sisters Thelma Perkins and Caroline Abbott, both of Haverhill, MA as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Truman was predeceased by his first wife Georgeanna Britton, his second wife, Theresa Britton, a daughter Wendy Robarge and a son, Wayne Scott Britton.
Calling hours were held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 10:00am – 12:00pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. Funeral services began at 12:00pm in the funeral home and concluded with burial with Military Honors in Great Hill Cemetery, Chester, NH.
