George Warren "Pete" Russell, 78, of Chesterfield, died at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born June 11, 1939 in New Castle, IN the son of Odie C. and Mary Ellen (Atkins) Russell. He served in the United States Army after graduating high school.
Pete worked production at ABB (formerly Westinghouse) 30 years before retiring in 1996. He was a member of Daleville Methodist Church. He enjoyed golf and fishing.
Pete is survived by his wife, Pat (Yoder) Russell of Chesterfield whom he married in 1962; his daughter, Nicole "Nikki" Russell of Northern Virginia; sister, Grace Russell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Larry and David Russell.
Calling will be on Wednesday, May 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
As per his wishes, there will be no public service.
