Obituary

NATICK:. Priscilla (Travis) Bartzak, 89, passed away on May 10, 2018 at Royal Wayland Nursing Home with hospice services after a period of declining health. Priscilla was born at Waltham Hospital on June 13, 1928, the daughter of the late Melvin Otho Travis and Anne (Lynch) Travis. She graduated from Newton High School in 1946, where she enjoyed the arts and playing tennis. Priscilla worked as a secretary for many years in Metrowest, and was active in the Natick Women’s Club and the St. Mary’s Altar Guild. Priscilla was an excellent golfer and won several awards over the years, and played courses both in Massachusetts and South Carolina. Priscilla was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Henry W. Bartzak (2014) of Newton and her first husband, Richard S. Dyro (1955) of Portland, ME. Priscilla is survived by her daughter, Patricia Bartzak, granddaughter: Madeleine Bartzak, and son-in-law, Robert Boudrie, and dog buddy, Albert, -all of Natick and her son, Richard (Peggy) Dyro of Bedford, MA. Priscilla was pre-deceased by her brother, Melvin Travis and niece, Cheryl Travis. Nieces Carol and Lisa Travis survive her in Florida. Priscilla will be waked at John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, Natick, MA 01760 on Thursday, May 17th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. A graveside funeral service with burial will be held from St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 258 Concord Street, Newton Lower Falls, MA 02462 on Friday, May 18th at 11:00 A.M. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to John Everett & Sons Funeral Home.
