Roy C. Francisco, 84, of Sanderson Road, Johnston, died Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the husband of the late Lillian (Desaulnier) Francisco.
Born in Johnston, he was a son of the late John and Grace (DiIorio) Francisco. He had lived in Johnston since 1989 and had previously lived in Glocester.
Roy was an operating engineer and retired from Tilcon Gamino Construction company. He previously worked at V.J. Paolino Construction Company for over 35 years.
He served in the Army. He was a member of the Smithfield Elks Lodge, #2359.
He is survived by his children: Donna Roy and her husband, William of Scituate, Paul Francisco and his wife, Lori of Warwick, his four grandchildren: Alison and Jonathan Roy, Joseph Brightman and his wife, Natalie and their daughter, Lily and Jacob Brightman, his sister, Jean Colantuono of Smithfield and his companion, Rita Pezzullo. He was the brother of the late Anthony, Joan, John and Albert Francisco.
His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11:30am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will follow in Acote’s Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. Visitation Monday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241.
