Obituary

The remarkable earthly journey of Cory A. Howe, beloved son of William and Marianne, devoted brother of Todd and Adam, ended peacefully at his home, Wednesday, May 9, 2018. As he begins the more celestial, heavenly portion of his journey, his family, caregivers, friends, and all those who were touched by his incredible resilience want to thank him for the blessing of his presence in their lives. They will remember him always for the love he showered on them and the joy he so easily coaxed with a smile, a chuckle, or the simple, placid gaze of someone truly content with what made up his world. For those who regarded Cory as one of their own, his nurses: we cannot thank you enough for the care and compassion and love you extended to him. Your medical and clinical competence always filled us with confidence while you were with him. To you, Michelle and Johanna, and Meredith and Doreen, and from younger years, Sally and Diane: we love you, as we know our Cory loved you. Cory joins in heaven his maternal grandparents William and Dorothea Walker, and his paternal grandfather, Donald H. Howe. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, William and Marianne Howe of Chicopee, his brother Todd and his wife Jennifer (Arsenault) of Huntersville, North Carolina and their children - Cory’s nephew Tyler and niece Molly, brother Adam and his wife Jessica (Roncarati) of Wilbraham, and their daughter –Cory’s niece Shae, his paternal grandmother Jean Howe of Chicopee, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. His was a life filled with love. He faced every adversity with the certain knowledge that angels abound and no matter the seriousness of the situation, caring loving hands and hearts were always at his beck and call. They have him now in heaven. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 10 a.m. at Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St. Chicopee with a Mass of Christian Liturgy at 11 a.m. at St Patrick Church in Chicopee.
