Obituary

Armed with glue gun, glitter and crochet needle, “Judith Brilhante Narciso”, also known as "Grandma", arrived at the Pearly Gates April 29th. She immediately began to redecorate them.

The daughter of Irene & Antone Brilhante, Judith first saw Manuel Narciso when she was 15 years old & vowed they would marry. They were together for 50 years. They were blessed with two children, Mark Narciso and Rachel Narciso Cabral. Their family grew to include son-in-law, Wayne Cabral and daughter-in-law, Donna Cabral. The lights of Judith’s life were all of her grandchildren, Melodie Lambert, Dylen Lambert, Cloey Narciso, Stefanie Cabral and Kate Rivera, whom she taught the delights of eating chocolate ice cream while watching late-night horror films. Full of mischief, Judith had many adventures with her partners-in-crime, her best friend & beloved brother, Joseph Brilhante, brother, Richard Brilhante, sister-in-law Judith Brilhante and cousin, Rosalie Whelchman. An avid arts & crafter, Judith added color and sparkle (or broke) everything she touched. An entrepreneur, Judith single-handedly kept QVC, the Home Shopping Network and USPS in business. We are pretty sure Judith also holds the world record for the number of quahogs she could stash in her bathing suit top. A great cook, she managed to incorporate chouico in nearly every recipe she made. An animal lover, she never met an animal she couldn’t spoil, whether cooking shrimp & corn on the cob for her beloved Fluffy, or trying to feed our childhood salamander Spam. He ran away.

In Judy’s memory her family asks that you eat chocolate ice-cream, add glitter to something and make a donation in her name to either SouthCoast Visiting Nurse Association, 200 Mill Road, Fairhaven, MA 02719, or Forever Paws Animal Shelter, 300 Lynwood Street, Fall River, MA 02721.

Thank you to Southpointe Rehab. Center & the Whelchman family for their love & support. Special thank you to "Uncle Joe" for being an amazing brother to Mom.

Arrangements are private.
