Miriam (Bragge) Papia, age 93, passed away in her sleep on April 18, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Rosario Papia and was the daughter of the late Matilda and John Bragge. Miriam was the beloved mother of Grace McGonnigal (husband Michael) of Silver Spring, MD; Christine Tod (husband Anthony) of Abington, Mary Pickering (late husband Mark) of Abington, and the late Joseph Papia of Portland, OR. She is also survived by 6 beloved grandchildren; Aaron and Igor McGonnigal, Sharon Tod Soares (husband Aldo) and Daniel Tod, and Cory and Kellie Pickering and the great grandmother of Sofia and Max Soares. She was sister of Lila Velez of CA and the late Lily Allard of VA and William Bragge and leaves many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
Miriam was born in Quincy and graduated from Quincy High School. She worked as a secretary before moving to Weymouth and becoming a homemaker and raising four children. She was very proud of her Finnish heritage and could speak and write Finnish. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with family, including Jenn Goyuk. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
