New Bedford – Isabel Martinez, age 82, of New Bedford, passed away on April 21, 2018 at Sacred Heart Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late Natalia Rohena Encarnacion and Dionisio Martinez.
She was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico and had worked as a C.N.A.
Survivors include her 2 daughters; Maria I. Matos and Carmen M. Rivera; 9 grandchildren, Maria Alejandro, Jonathan Vega, Ruben Vega, Yancy Vega, Yaisary Acevedo, Joshua Acevedo, Hector Rosario, Hector R. Rosario and Heidy L. Rosario; great-grandchildren, Airam Moises, Mariangellisse, Jonathan, Yann Luis, Yandel, Keysha, Yanskieliz, Luis, Angel, Sairialys, Yamuel, Joanielys, Joniel, Jonny, Jerrel, Leonardo, Rubi, Alexis, Ivan, Yadiel, Nikol, Ektor and Zaelyd; 2 great - great grandchildren, Alejandro Tobias and Drachire Aimar; as well as, 1 nephew and 2 nieces, Papo, Ady and Ivette.
Isabel’s visiting hours will be held on Wednesday evening, from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M at the funeral home. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday morning in the funeral home, beginning at 9:00 A.M. with a service at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
