Obituary



Jeffrey P. Quillen, 55, of Worcester, died Sunday, April 22nd in UMass Medical Center with his loving family at his side. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary C. (Carraher) Quillen; his daughter, Samantha M. Quillen of Worcester; a granddaughter Jayla C. Kennedy; James Kennedy of Boston whom he considered a son; his mother-in-law, Phyllis (Beams) Carraher of Auburn; two sisters, Karen A. Quillen and her husband, Sean Julian of Charlottesville, VA and Bonnie Phillips of Essex Junction VT; his brother, Charles Quillen of Charlottesville, VA; many nephews and nieces, including Ashley Sharp and Daniel FitzGerald both of Charlottesville, VA; as well as brother and sister-in-laws. He was predeceased by his beloved pet and companion, Angel.

He was born in Roswell, NM, the son of Paul E. and Diane W. (Hall) Quillen. Jeffrey had worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Youth Services and later at YOU, Inc. for many years. He will be remembered for his love of animals, as an avid Patriot and Red Sox fan. Jeffrey enjoyed cooking at family gatherings, camping and his solitary drives.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 25th from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Funeral services will be held the the convenience of the family.
