BERE, Sherrill Strange, 72, passed away peacefully at her home on April 21, 2018 surrounded by family.
She was born in Louisville, KY on December 7, 1945. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Catherine Strange and a brother, Neal Strange.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Val Bere and children Stacy Harvey (Mark), Craig Bere (Shannon), grandchildren, Sarah, Steven, Shane, Sydney, Katie and Blake; 7 great grandchildren; one sister, Judy Walsh (Dick); brothers, Gary Strange (Diana), Alan Strange (Donna), and many nieces and nephews.
She was an employee of LG&E, Great Financial Bank, PNC Bank, but found her true passion in teaching pre-school at Sts. Simon & Jude where she was a member for many years.
The family would like to thank Drs. John Wheatley, George Scott, and Hosparus for their outstanding care. The family would also like to give a special thanks to The Celebration Gang for all their love and support.
Visitation will be 2-8pm Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Service will be 11am Wednesday at Sts. Simon and Jude, 4335 Hazelwood Ave.
