Jamgochian, Edward M, 91, passed away at his home in Annandale, VA. After an illness on April 13, 2018. Edward was the beloved husband of Louise Jamgochian for 61 years. He was the beloved father to son, Michael and wife, Jill; daughter, Carol; and daughter, Linda and husband, Jim, as well as seven grandchildren. Edward was born in Boston, MA and graduated from Watertown High School in 1945. In 1948, he graduated with a B.S. in Physics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and in 1952, a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University. Edward worked as an Electrical Engineer in research and development for over 40 years, including 31 years with Mitre Corporation. He was commissioned as a U.S. Army officer in 1948 and served in the reserves for 15 years. Edward was predeceased by his siblings; Edwina Walsh, Mary Kendall, and Hagop Jamgochian. Funeral services were held at the Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home in Fairfax, VA on Friday, April 20. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Mary’s Armenian Apostolic Church, 4125 Fessenden St NW, Washington, DC 20016. Graveside prayers will be held at Newton Cemetery, 791 Walnut Street, Newton, MA on Tuesday, April 22 at 1:00 p.m.
