Paulette A. (Babin) Charest, 72, of Dartmouth, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Normand A. Charest, they shared 54 years of marriage.
Mrs. Charest was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Leonard R. and Anna (Castonguay) Babin and had resided in Dartmouth since 1970. Prior to her retirement, she worked at Elbe Products and Deknatel, Fall River. She was an active member in St. George Church, Westport for many years where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Women's Guild. She loved spending time with her family.
Survivors along with her husband include her son: Daniel R. Charest of Fall River; her 3 daughters: Annette M. Lavigne of Fall River, Christine A. Stewart of Dartmouth and Nancy St. Gelais and her husband Ronald of Fall River; a brother: Leonard Babin of CT; 2 sisters: Jeanine Fallen of NC and Daphne Morin of PA; 4 grandchildren: Jacob, Alex, Cheyenne and Audrey; 2 great grandchildren: Meghan and Aryana; along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, April 26, 2018 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5-8 P.M.
Interment will be private.
