Silvana Bonaventura of Medford, formerly of Boston's North End, died on Thursday, April 19th at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center of Medford. She was 82. Born and raised in Pettorano Sul Gizio, Italy. She was the daughter of the late Crescenzo and Anna E. (DelMonaco) Bonaventura.
Silvana came to America in 1956, from Pettorano Sul Gizio, Italy. The family settled in the Boston's North End. Silvana was a talented seamstress and worked in a clothing store located on Canal St. for many years. Silvana was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend she will be remembered for the love she shared with everyone.
Silvana was the cherished daughter of late Crescenzo and Anna E. (DelMonaco) Bonaventura. The dear sister of Angelo Bonaventura and his wife Lidia, Aldo Bonaventura and his wife Mary, Ennio Bonaventura and his wife Leslie, the late Andrea Bonaventura and his surviving wife Josephine, and the late Fernando Bonaventura and his late wife AnnMarie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, April 23rd at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 10 AM to 12 noon. Services will conclude with burial at Oak grove Cemetery, Medford.
