Sherri Lynn Diggle, 36, of Dartmouth passed away Monday April 16, 2018 at home after a long battle with cancer.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of Gordon W. Diggle, Jr. of Cape Coral, FL and the late Gale P. (Bennett) Heyes, she lived in St. Mary's, Ohio for many years where she was a graduate of Memorial High School. She later resided in Cape Coral for four years before returning to Dartmouth six months ago.
Sherri loved riding motorcycles. Her favorite saying was "Weeee....".
In addition to her father, she is survived by her siblings, Dawn Sturtevant and her husband William of Dartmouth, Stephen Heyes and his fiancée Amy of New Bedford, and Gordon W. Diggle III of Ohio; four nephews, Ryan Sturtevant, Nathan Sturtevant, Evan Dias, and Isak Heyes; her beloved dog, "Paw Paw"; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Her family would like to give special thanks to Beacon Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Sherri during her illness.
Her visitation will be held on Thursday April 19, 2018 from 4-7 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her funeral service at 7 PM. Following cremation, a family burial service will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, New Bedford.
