Mary Louise Sage Heintz, age 90, entered into rest on April 15, 2018 at her home at Sun Terrace Assisted Living in Prosser. She was born on August 11, 1927 in Moxee, Washington to Walter Clarence and Nancy Louise (Potter) Kellen.
Mary and Ralph Sage were married on September 15, 1943 in Prosser, had one daughter and enjoyed 43 years together until he passed away. Later, in 1997, she married John Heintz. With this marriage she acquired a large second family.
Mary worked for the JC Penney’s for many years and later for Snokist in Grandview until retiring. She enjoyed fishing and camping trips, playing horseshoes and pinochle, and bowling. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Mary (Sage) Rusk of Prosser; granddaughter, Judy Rusk of Prosser; great-granddaughter, Sierra (Rusk) Bates and husband, Brandon Bates of Prosser; great-grandsons, Zachary Jensen of Cle Elum and Skyler Jensen of Ellensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her step-daughter, Joyce Miller-Graham and her husband, Tim and step-son, Jim Michael Heintz and his wife, Jeri; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Sage in 1986; her second husband, John Heintz in 2013; her parents; numerous brothers and sisters; and two step-sons, John Heintz Jr. in 2001 and Jerald Heintz in 2007.
Funerals services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Prosser Funeral Home Concluding services and burial will follow at the Prosser Cemetery.
