Mr. John J. Brogan, a lifelong resident of Medford, passed away at the Nevins Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Methuen on Saturday morning, April 14, 2018. He was 93 years old.
Born in Medford, Massachusetts, on November 5, 1924, he was the son of the late William and Maude (Lucia) Brogan. Mr. Brogan worked for the City of Medford for the water department for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed watching the Boston sports teams.
He is survived by his children; Margaret and her husband Ralph Giallanella of Dracut, John Jr., and his wife Lisa Brogan of Beverly, Susan and her husband Mark Rumley of Medford, James and his wife Anne Brogan of Medford, Judith Vellucci of Woburn and the late Nancy Rennie, brother; Paul Brogan of Everett, son-in-law; Charles Rennie of Medford, 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at 10 AM. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home of Medford. www.magliozzifuneralhome.com.
