Obituary

“TeamstersStephen B. Coleman, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. He was 62 years of age.

Stephen was born in Pleasanton, California on May 20, 1955, a son of the late Stephen B. Coleman and Pauline C. (Kelsey) Coleman. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system. Stephen worked as a truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local # 25 for over 30 years. He enjoyed boating and fishing in his spare time.

Stephen is the beloved husband of the late Joanne M. (Libby) Coleman. He is the devoted father of the late Shaina M. Coleman. He is the loving Papa to Riley, Reardon, Edinson and Stephen. He is the beloved brother of Sandra Coleman, Eva Coleman-Hickey and her husband Paul, Paula Coleman, Inell Coleman-Scadding and her husband James and the late Donald E. "Red" Kelsey. He is the beloved son-in-law of William "Matches" McGrath and the late Patricia (Reardon) McGrath. He is the dear friend of Jimmy Lynch and Gerry McNeil. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Stephen's visiting hours on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 4 to 8 P.M. with his Funeral Service at 7:30 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial is private.
