Dartmouth – Jose Alves Cabral age 90, of Dartmouth , passed away on, April 13, 2018 at home with his family at his side. He was the beloved husband of Maria dos Anjos (DaSilva) Cabral and son of the late Maria DaConceicao (Alves) and Luis Cabral.
He was born in Mosteiros, St Michael Azores, moved to this area in 1967 and worked as a Machine Operator for Chamberlain Manufacturer.
Survivors include his wife Maria, 3 children; Odelcia Lavoie and her husband Gregory, Natercia Sousa and Robert Cabral, 4 grandchildren; Ashley, Brian, Melissa and Stephanie, and 1 great grandchild Bryce, his siblings; Fernanda Jacob, Gilda Vasconcellos, Maria Jose Mateus, Alda Medeiros, Bibiana Cabral, Teresa Almeida and the late Manuel Cabral, Anisto Cabral and Almarinda Alexandro.he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Jose’s visiting hours will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M at the funeral home. His funeral will be held on Tuesday morning at Perry Funeral Home, beginning at 8:00 A.M. and followed by a mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
