Obituary

Rose Helen (Steiner) Feiling, 91, died peacefully on April 12, 2018. Rose was born in Troschelje, Yugoslavia, to German parents and moved to Munich Germany in later childhood. Rose married Henry Feiling, Military Police in the United States Army, in 1953. Rose emigrated to the United States in 1953, to join Henry in his hometown of New York City. Rose worked as a seamstress in Manhattan. In 1987 Rose and Henry retired to Anderson, Indiana, to be near family.

Rose was predeceased by her husband, Henry Feiling, parents, and several brothers and sisters. Rose is survived by her sister Lilly McCann, niece Patty (Jeff) Burkhardt, niece Christina McCann, great nephew Patrick Burkhardt, great nieces Kathleen Burkhardt and Megan Burkhardt, nephew Dennis Marquis and family. Rose is also survived by family in Europe, including brothers Ernst, Victor, Leopold; sisters Steffi, Erika, Helga, Herta, Annemarie.

A graveside service will be held Monday, April 16, 2018 at 2 p.m. at East Maplewood Cemetery Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please consider a charitable donation to your favorite charity.

Rose always had a kind word for anyone she met, as evidenced by the many lives she touched, even during her illness. The family would like to thank the staff at Hamilton Trace, Fishers, IN, for the loving care given to Rose.
