Rita (Zaccardo) Cataldo passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital of Boston on Tuesday. She was 89. Born and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Triano) Zaccardo. A Medford resident for most of her adult life, Rita worked in the Little Building, Boston in beauty shop as a manicurist. She was a devoted wife, sister and aunt.
The beloved wife of the late George Cataldo, she was a devoted sister to Anthony Zaccardo of Stoneham, William Zaccardo of Florida, the late Mary and Rose Zaccardo, Angelina Staffier, Theresa Fondini, Joe, Louis, Jerry, Frank, Albert, and Johnny Zaccardo. Rita also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews and their families.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday, April 14th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
