FALL RIVER – Diamantina (Couto) Rebelo, age 84 of Fall River, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 at St. Anne’s Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Fajã de Baixo, São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Jose & Isabel (De Freitas) Do Couto and the beloved wife of the late Manuel M. Rebelo. Prior to retiring, Diamantina worked for 15 years as a Crill Hand Operator at Joan Fabrics. She was also a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church.
Survivors include her children: Jose M. Rebelo & Durval C. Rebelo both of Swansea, Rosa Maria Dos Santos of Brazil, and Elena Rebelo of Fall River; her late brother: João Do Couto; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 10:00 A.M. interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
