David Ramsey, 84, of Anderson, died Saturday, April 7, 2018 as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born on December 25, 1933 in Dodd, Indiana, the son of Henry and Dorothy Ramsey. He was a graduate of Indiana University and served in the US Army. He worked in sales and owned a lumber company. He attended Cross Roads United Methodist Church and loved flying airplanes.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rachel (Kaster) Ramsey, three children, Scot (Xin) Ramsey, Cindy ( Rick Walters) Ramsey and Shawn (Heike) Ramsey; grandchildren Honor (husband Jason), Noah and Reilly; Great grandchildren, Norah, Silas, Sawyer and Miles; Siblings; Guy Neil (Laverne) Ramsey, Jean (Bill) Zellers, and Gloria (Maurice) Shepard; and a whole multitude of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Henriella, and 2 brothers, Jimmy and Kenneth.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Cross Roads United Methodist Church officiated by Pastor John Hackney. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 4-7 PM at Cross Roads United Methodist Church, 2000 N. Scatterfield Road in Anderson.
Memorial contributions may be given to Cross Roads United Methodist Church.
