Laconia, Cynthia “Cindee” Carter, 64, a long-time resident of Laconia, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018.
Cindee was born on December 2, 1953 in Laconia, the daughter of the late Walter and Shirley (Sherman) Davis. Cindee attended Laconia Elementary, Middle and Senior High Schools. After graduating from high school, she trained at the Empire Beauty School in Laconia. Cindee worked several years at Metz Electronics and, eventually, began a career as a phlebotomist at LRGHealthcare in 1984, which she enjoyed for 33 years before retiring in the spring of 2017.
Cindee enjoyed raising her two boys, walking around Laconia for exercise, going to the movies and dining (or just ice cream) with friends and driving her VW Beetle. She was an animal lover having many pet dogs and cats throughout the years and was an avid Red Sox fan. She enjoyed the summer months in New England soaking up the sun poolside and going on excursions to the beaches. In her later life, Cindee’s four grandchildren were her greatest joy. She spent a lot of time with them going to the beach and amusement parks and she never missed a moment to make memories with each of them.
Cindee is survived by: her son Jason Carter and wife Alethea, daughter-in-law Kristen Daddio, sister Patrecia Grinley, sister Linda Hoffman and husband Bill and four grandchildren Samson, Matthew, Benjamin and Elizabeth Carter. Cindee will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, extended family and beloved friends and patients which she adored.
Cindee was predeceased by her parents and son Scott Albert Carter.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 1pm - 4pm in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia.
A Funeral Service will immediately follow the calling hours at 4pm, also at the Funeral Home.
