LACONIA----Anita M. Angers, 95, of 168 Pine Street Extension, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at home.
Anita was born August 27, 1922 in Laconia the daughter of Albert L. and Annie E. (Gleason) Woodward. Anita was a lifetime resident of Gilford and Laconia.
Anita started her work career as a clerk for Landau & J.J. Newberry’s Department Store from 1955 to 1970, and then as a seamstress for Barberry Mills, Sweaterville from 1970 to 1984, as a General Manager at Weirs Beach Tent & Trailer Park from 1970 to 1973, and finished her career working as a clerk, folder, and presser for Quik Laundry & Cleaners.
Anita was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 1, past secretary of Barracks WW I Veterans Auxilary, past secretary of the Latchkey Chapter NAFCA Gunstock Travelers, past secretary chapter of Good Sam Club, and Disaster Volunteer for the American Red Cross.
Anita is survived by one daughter, Kay L. Mahoney of Laconia; granddaughter, Traci Mahoney-Barker and her husband, Tim; great grandchildren, William and Kaylynn Barker; grandson, Bob Mahoney and his significant other of 26 years, Kim Lavigne; great grandchildren, Kattrina Lavigne, Robert Mahoney, Billy Mahoney, David Mahoney; great great grandchildren, Theresa Buttermore (Kat’s), Lylyan Mahoney (Robert’s), and Cecilia Buttermore (Kat’s); one son, Randolph A. Angers of Laconia; granddaughter, Joni Avery and her husband, Rob (Ernest); great grandchildren, Kenneth Avery and his wife, Chelsea, Ernest Avery III, Randy Avery and his wife, Brentt, and Rodney Avery; great great grandchildren, Ella and James Avery (Randy’s), and Brianna Avery; granddaughter, Lori Keith and her husband, Chuck; great grandson, Jason Keith and his wife, Kara; great great grandchildren, Jake Keith, Julie Keith, Jill Keith and Cheyanne Keith; great granddaughter, Megan Keith; great great grandchildren, Zack, Alyssa, and Leah; great grandson, Joey and his wife, Deanna; great great granddaughter, Renee Keith; great granddaughters, Sara and her partner, Jared, and Jenny and her partner, Patrick; great great grandson, Ian; grandson, Kenny Angers and his wife, Tina; great grandchildren, Rryan Angers, Jasmine Angers Parsons, Katelyn Angers, David Angers, Danielle Angers, Matthew Angers, and Anthony Angers; great great grandchildren, Jacob Chandronnait, Aurora Parson, Shirley Jenna, Ray Angers, Brandyn Angers, Blake Angers, and Mason Angers; grandson, Mike Angers and his wife Sheila; great grandson, Scott Angers; great granddaughter, Alisha Angers, great great grandson, Patrick Angers. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Don and Alyce Bolduc; and her furry feline companions, Marissa, Princess Leia and Finn. In addition to her parents, Annie Woodward in 1986 and Albert Woodward in 1990, she was predeceased by her husband, Clyde Angers in 2002; sister, Wenona Bolduc in 1997; daughter-in-law, Jean Angers in 2007; and son-in-law, Bob Mahoney in 2002.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the Bayside Cemetery, Laconia.
