Obituary

Nelva Beth (Moore) Falge, 89, died March 29, 2018 at Hamilton Trace in Fishers.

She was born on January 22, 1929 in Grand Rapids, Michigan the daughter of Carl and Florence Nelva (Dow) Moore. She attended high school in Michigan and graduated from Illinois Wesleyan College in 1951 with a degree in math education. She worked as an engineer aide in Ft. Wayne for General Electric until moving to Anderson in 1957 when she married John H. Falge on April 27, 1957. She then became a stay at home mother to her children.

Beth enjoyed the outdoors and traveling. Camping, canoeing, and traveling were frequent activities for the Falge family. She was a very active member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she served as treasurer for many years and was involved in various Bible studies. She was a life member of AAUW, Nickophilia Club, Art Club, and Athenaeum. When her children were young she served as a den mother for Cub Scouts and Girl Scout leader.

She is survived by her 2 children; Robert N. (Sussan) Falge of Zebulon, NC and Patricia "Patty" (Nelson) Slipher of Indianapolis, 5 grandchildren; Anthony Falge, Travis (Carmen) Slipher, Cole (Megan) Slipher, Julie Falge, and Derek Slipher, a great grandson, Danny Slipher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John on October 10, 1994, two sisters, Blva Rouster and Nelva Nan Moore, and a brother, Boyd Moore

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11 AM at First Presbyterian Church in Anderson. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to First Presbyterian Church.
