Mrs. Evelyn Rose (Skapley) Sendecke, a resident of Andover and beloved wife of the late Paul Sendecke, passed away at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill on Sunday morning, March 25, 2018. She was 89 years old.
Born in New York City, New York, she was the beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Frieda (Hobletzal) Skapley. Mrs. Sendecke was a graduate of Mt. Holyoke College and earned her Masters Degree Columbia university.
In her spare time, Evelyn enjoyed playing Bridge and volunteering. She also enjoyed traveling the world with her husband, friends and family. She will be dearly missed.
Evelyn is survived by her loving children; Gail C. Sendecke and her husband Thomas A. McLaughlin of Andover, Anne C. Sendecke of Winchester, Virginia and Donald J. Sendecke of Lantana, Florida, dear grandchildren; Paul McLaughlin of Andover and Emily McLaughlin of Falls Church, Virginia and her cherished cat; Stewie.
Her Memorial Service will be celebrated in the First Calvary Baptist Church, 586 Massachusetts Avenue, North Andover on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 10 AM.
