Obituary

LACONIA – Ronald Gil Bilodeau, 68 of Laconia, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. Ron was born in Laconia, NH on June 21, 1949. He was a lifelong resident of Laconia graduating from Laconia High School in 1969.

Ron was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Vietnam war. After serving his country he returned to the States and began his working career alongside his father and brother at the Laconia Foundry. He then worked several years at Pike Industries before leaving to start Lakeside Fencing. Later, he was part of the partnership group operating BII Fence and Guardrail.

Ron was a quiet and compassionate man, dedicated to his family and friends. Being fond of games of chance, he never missed the opportunity to lay a friendly wager on a game of cards, or sporting event. He was an avid hunter who enjoyed many happy fall seasons with family and friends searching for that elusive "monster buck". Summers were spent on the golf course, short off the tee, but always down the middle of the fairway.

Family members include his wife of 48 years, Winnie (Barth) Bilodeau of Laconia; their two children, Stacy Beaudoin and her husband, Mark, of Meredith, and Thomas Bilodeau and his wife, Valerie, of Laconia; his grandchildren, Eliza and Benoit Beaudoin; Samantha Chase, Trenton McDonald and Treyden Bilodeau; his sister, Linda Hyman and her husband, Edwin, of Kansas; his mother, Lucille (Maheux) Bilodeau, of Kansas; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Benoit Bilodeau and his brother, Ted Bilodeau.

Services for Ron will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 3, at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
